As many of you have already heard the NSF has published a new Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 23-1). This new Guide features several changes which take effect as of Jan 30, 2023 and are summarized here. For now, we want to focus on changes to the formatting of BioSketches and Current and Pending Support These revised formats are now available in SciENcv and on the NSF Policy Office website.
The new PAPPG will mandate, for new proposals submitted on or after October 23, 2023, the use of SciENcv for preparation of the Biographical Sketches and Current and Pending Support. In the interim, proposers may continue to prepare and submit this document via use of SciENcv or the NSF fillable PDF.
We encourage you to join a webinar hosted by the NSF Policy Office on Thursday, January 19th at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. They will discuss the changes and demonstrate the new BioSketch formatting system, SciENcv. The sooner you give it a try the smoother the transition to the new requirement will be.
