UPDATE: NSF Program Directors at SICB 2023 

Upcoming Meeting: 
SICB Annual Meeting, January 3-7, 2023, in Austin, TX

The National Science Foundation (NSF) plans to have an exhibitor booth at the annual meeting of the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) in Austin, Texas. Please stop by between January 4 and 6, 2023, to schedule a one-on-one appointment with an NSF Program Director (PD) from the Division of Integrative Organismal Systems (IOS), the Division of Biological Infrastructure (DBI), or the Division of Environmental Biology (DEB). During the appointment we are happy to discuss funding opportunities or address questions you may have. 

NSF PDs will also be presenting at several sessions:  

  1. January 4 & 5, 2023, at the SICB Divisional Member Meetings, to summarize what’s new at NSF and discuss opportunities for serving as a panelist, reviewer, or rotating Program Director.  
  1. January 4, 2023, at 12:00-1:30 p.m., in Lonestar D – NSF Program Directors will present a lunch time workshop with updates on funding opportunities in NSF-BIO and a Q&A session. The workshop will be live-streamed so online meeting registrants can participate. 
  1. January 5, 2023, at 12:00-1:30 p.m., in Lonestar C – Sara Paull from NSF’s National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) will lead a workshop on accessing and working with NEON small mammal data. (See this page for more info and register for the workshop here.)
