The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is undertaking a project to facilitate reliable comparative genomics analyses for all eukaryotic organisms. The Comparative Genomics Resource (CGR) is a National Library of Medicine (NLM) project to establish an interoperable suite of National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) repositories and knowledgebases offering high-value data, tools, and interfaces compatible with community-provided organism resources.
To ensure the CGR project successfully serves the needs of the comparative genomics community, NLM is hosting listening session on September 21st at 12 pm ET to gather community perspective on:
- Genomics tools and resources you use
- How well current NCBI resources meet your needs
- Resource gaps and barriers in comparative genomics that NCBI could address
We encourage our IOS community to attend if interested and tell NIH/NLM what community members need to best make use of the tools that will be developed.
