The Division of Integrative Organismal Systems (IOS) held a Virtual Office Hour on February 17th, 2022 to provide information on the other Divisions in BIO here at NSF.
Program officers from our other Divisions came to talk a bit about their various clusters and programs, pointing out various funding opportunities that attendees might want to investigate more. Please follow the links to find out more information on each of our Divisions:
Division of Biological Infrastructure (DBI)
Division of Environmental Biology (DEB)
Division of Integrative Organismal Systems (IOS)
Division of Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (MCB)
Together the four Divisions in BIO fund researchers addressing questions across the broad spectrum of levels of biological organization with DBI having a special role in helping to fund the human and infrastructure resources and tools needed to advance biological research. Overlap in areas covered by each Division allows for integrative research to be both proposed and reviewed.
If you have questions or have research ideas for any of our Divisions, you are encouraged to reach out to program officers therein with questions or with a short summary of proposed work and start up a conversation about the fit of your work to an unfamiliar program.
Please join us on March 17, 2022 for our next IOS Virtual Office Hour when we will talk about the new Research Experiences for Teachers Sites in Biological Sciences (BIORETS – NSF 21-584).
