Farewell to IOS Program Specialists Maya Anderson and Nancy Arce

IOS would like to bid farewell to Maya Anderson and thank her for being part of the IOS team for more than two decades.  Maya worked as a Program Specialist in IOS supporting multiple clusters and programs. She has been a remarkable colleague and friend to many! She brings a calm and supportive presence to the working environment and gives thoughtful and careful consideration to everything she does. Maya has been a key resource to all and a pleasure to work with. Those of us who worked closely with Maya have been impacted by her work ethic, spirit and strength; we will all miss Maya greatly!

Even though Maya is leaving IOS, she will not be departing the National Science Foundation. Maya has been promoted to Program Specialist in the Division of Biological Infrastructure (DBI) in the Directorate for Biological Sciences. We look forward to seeing her around the agency, be it virtually or in-person.

Best wishes for continued success to Maya and we wish her happiness in all endeavors in the coming years!

IOS would like to take this opportunity to thank Nancy Arce for her dedication and hard work as a Program Specialist. For the past two and half years, Nancy has been a valued member of the IOS team. Nancy brought kindness, cheer, knowledge, and good will to her job. She came into IOS supporting the division as a Program Assistant, accelerating her skills, and was soon promoted to a Program Specialist supporting program directors in the Neural Systems Cluster and the Developmental Systems Cluster.

Nancy continues to trailblaze and has been promoted to a position as a Program Analyst in the Directorate for Computer, Information, Science and Engineering (CISE). We wish her well and continued success in her new position.
