Updates on Proposal Submission Procedures

On June 1, 2020, NSF implemented the Grants.gov Application Guide  (NSF 20-089) to support proposers submitting through Grants.gov as opposed to Fastlane or Research.gov. Overall, the Guide has been updated to align with the changes to NSF’s Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 20-1), which also went into effect June 1.

In addition, the requirement to use an NSF-approved format for submission of the biographical sketch and current and pending support will go into effect for new applications submitted or due on or after October 5, 2020.  A set of frequently asked questions related to current and pending support is available, as are frequently asked questions on Using SciENcv, and ones  on Using NSF Fillable PDF format.   To help with the transition to our new NSF-approved forms, NSF recorded a webinar on the use of NSF-approved formats. Until October 5, 2020, investigators can still use the previous forms of the biographical sketch and current and pending support documents, but you are encouraged to use the new forms.

As always, if you have questions please contact a program officer.
